Flavien Casaccio starts with music at the age of five by learning to play the violin. Soon he is attracted by the piano. He starts taking piano lessons with Olga and Eugene Moguilevsky (1st prize at the Queen Elisabeth Contest) and both of them are professors at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels. He enters the Arthur Grumiaux Conservatory of Charleroi in the class of J.Daune, where he concludes his studies with the highest distinction and the Prize of Exellence of the Conservatory. In 2004,he enters the class of Rosella Clini at the Royal Music Conservatory of Mons. These years were crowned with the highest distinction for piano, chamber music and piano accompagnement.
Flavien has taken part in numerous mater classes with some of the most renowned international teachers such as Philippe Entremont (France), Stephane Lemmelin (Canada), Robert Roux (USA), Christopher Elton (Royal College of Music, London), Jun Kano (Japan)
He had the opportunity to improve himself in the chamber music repertoire and contemporary music with some of the greatest specialist such as Jean Philippe Collard- Neven and Claude Delangle at the Conservatoire National Superieur de Musique de Paris where he studied between 2008 and 2010. He took part on a regular bassis in the creation of the pieces from young composers as well as renowned composers such as Claude Ledoux, Geoffrey Francois and plays on a regular basis compositions by Jean-Luc Fafchamps, Michel Lysight, Nicolas Bacri who dedicated few pièces to him. Flavien was also invited pianist at the festival ‘’4 seasons’’ in Brussels; festival under the patronage of Martha Argerich. He played many recitals in many countries : Belgium, France, Monaco, Italy, Switzerland, Luxemburg, Quebec, Montreal,Russia,Neterlands, …; in big halls such as Palais des Beaux Arts in Brussels (BOZAR), the Theatre des Martyrs, the Grand- Hall of the Royal Conservatory of Brussels, the Salle Alfred Cortot in Paris, Novosibirsk Philarmonia, Moscow concert hall, the antwerpen Sportpaleis,… He also performed on a regular basis with the Belgium National Orchestra, the Orchestre Royal de Chambre de Wallonie in concertos by Mozart and Bach. He also had the opportunity to play more then once with the orchestra of the Conservatory of Mons (ARTS2) under the directions of Daniel Gazon. You probably also heard him on Belgian Radio at the classical music radio ‘’ musiq3’’ and on several TV channels. Flavien is winner and finalist at several international contests such as ‘’The Yamaha Contest’’, ‘’ Les rencontres internationals de jeunes pianistes (epta)’’, the Exellentia competition, the International Piano Competition in Lagny-sur-Marne.
In chamber music he forms a duo with Belgian saxophone player Simon Diricq. He also played together with numerous other partners such as Emilie Girard-Charest (Canada), Marie-Laure Coenjaerts, Daniel Rubinstein, ‘’La Cantalasne’’, David Cohen, Maja Bogdanovic, Marc Sabbah, Alissa Margulis, Jean Prevot, Daniel Rowland,… in several concerts and festivals in Europe. In 2011, he was chosen to represent as an artist te 20 years of the federation Wallonie- Buxelles in Paris. Since then he improved himself in Paris and in London with several renowned international professors and performed in many concerts. He teaches and accompanies at the Conservatory of Tournai and in several instrumental and vocal classes in France. During contests he accompanies the saxophone class of the Royal Conservatory of Brussels (A.Crepin), equally as during international music meetings and clinics I.M.A. from Dinant and the Forth-Mahon (France) Flavien is the official accompanist of the prestigious International Saxophone Contest in Dinant.Actually he is teaching in Royal conservatory of Mons Arts2 Mons in Belgium .
